What about the old folks?: Lawyers and Mandatory Retirement

Mandatory retirement at a certain age has traditionally been a common practice in the legal world.

For the selfish pre-laws among us, this is actually not great short-term news because more old lawyers being forced to golfing daily and earlybird dinner specials, by my logic, means more job opportunities for young lawyers as experienced lawyers move up and take grandpa's or grandma's place.

But come on, is it really fair force this fella out of a job he might still be good at just because he's old?

One of our senior readers contemplates law school...

Look at that sad face, lost without a job and contemplative of what he'll do with next his days open. :-(
